Fixing Squeaking Sounds in Ergotune SupremeUpdated a year ago

Q: I'm hearing squeaking sounds from my chair during usage.

A: The most common cause for squeaks would be to the looseness within metal parts of the mechanism.

Squeaking sound is a common natural cause for moving parts with metal-to-metal contact, especially if in the case the lubricant has dried or is insufficient in the area where it is needed most.

The gas lift and mechanism hub typically consists of metal components, which can produce noise when they rub against each other.

The first point of troubleshooting this, would be to ensure all screw-parts are regularly tightened from time to time.

  1. Tightening of Screws

Do ensure to tighten the below 3 key screw parts:

    - Mechanism Hub Screws (Part K, x4 screws)

    - Backrest Screws (Part I, x3 screws)

    - Armrest Screws (Part J, x3 screws for each armrest)

Should the squeak persists after tightening of the screwparts, it is a sign that the chair may require further assistance from our support team. Contact us here
